- PHASE-II ADMISSION TEST FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-26: Phase - II admission test for classes Play to IX to first, second and third priority was conducted on 10 Apr 2025.
- UNIFIED INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD RESULTS:
Unified International Mathematics Olympiad exam conducted in Visvodaya CBSE School by Unified Council on 30 Jan 2025. 68 Students from classes I to X appeared for this exam. Result came on 07 Apr 2025. 13 students got Gold medals & Certificate of appreciation.
- SCHOOL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING FOR 2025:
The School Management Committee meeting was held on 9th April 2025, chaired by GM (HR) Sir. The meeting was attended by the Manager - Welfare Department, Assistant Manager - Welfare, parent representatives, teacher representatives, the Principal, and the Vice Principal.

School Fee Revision: It was decided to implement a fee hike of ₹300 per month per child, effective from the Academic Year 2025–26.
Academic Plan Alignment: The school’s academic plan will be revised and aligned with the NCS (Naval Children School) academic structure to enhance academic quality and standardization.
- RETIREMENT FUNCTION (RABIA BASRI): Rabia Basri, TGT Teacher who worked for 28 years got retired on 11 Apr 2025. Farewell was conducted at Visvodaya School. Rabia Basri and her family are honored with shawl, memento as ever staff members gathered and most of them spoke about his sincere work during his tenure.
- COMPUTER LAB AND NEW SCHOOL BUS INAUGURATION : New School bus and Computer Lab with 40 in no’s new computers inaugurated on 17 Apr 2025 by Mrs. Poornima Srinivas, First lady of Dock Yard. K. Srinivas, ASD(V), Chairman of Visvodaya Educational Society along with GM (HR), GM (R), GM (Tech) took part in inauguration school bus and computer lab. Poojari done pooja for the new bus, ASD sir and Mrs. Poornima ma’am took part in Pooja. HDFC bank supported in providing new school bus and 40 no’s computers to school through corporate social responsibility “Parivartan”.

Visvodaya CBSE School celebrated Poshan Pakhwada 2025 on 19th April with great enthusiasm to promote healthy eating and awareness about traditional Indian foods, especially millets.
Students brought homemade millet-based snacks and participated in a range of engaging, age-appropriate activities.
Classes 1–2 enjoyed coloring and identifying healthy vs. junk foods.
Classes 3–5 took part in a Millet Snacks Sharing Circle.
Classes 6–8 interacted with a local farmer to learn about millet farming.
Classes 9–10 held a debate on “Traditional Food vs. Fast Food.”
The day was informative, fun, and aligned with the vision of the Poshan Abhiyaan to encourage healthy food habits from an early age.
- SESSION ON GENERATIVE AI: On 28 Apr 2025, at 1000 Hrs, a highly engaging and insightful session on Generative AI was conducted for the students of classes VIII, IX, and X at Kalamegha Auditorium, M.H. Colony. The session, led by Cdr. Sachin Gupta, Manager (MHRP) aimed to demystify the concepts of Generative AI and its potential impact. Gupta Sir began by providing a clear and accessible explanation of Generative AI, differentiating it from other forms of artificial intelligence. He emphasized the guiding role of AI, highlighting that while it can be a powerful tool for creation, it is ultimately human ingenuity and vision that lead innovation.
- PROJECT DISPLAY DAY: All the projects made by the students in AY 2024-25 are displayed in three rooms on 30 Apr 2025. G. Vidhya Sagar, Correspondent and P. Padmaja, Principal seen all the projects patiently and appreciated the students for their creativity.
- NEW SCHOOL BUS UPDATE: The school has successfully completed the payment of road tax and the conversion fee for the new bus (Registration Number: AP39WD2936) on 29 April 2025 at the RTO Office, Visakhapatnam. The next step involves taking the bus to Gambhiram for the official conversion from an Omni category to an Educational Institution Bus, in compliance with state transport regulations. This process is being coordinated to ensure the vehicle is ready and approved for student transportation before the start of the new academic session.
- SUMMER VACATION SCHEDULE:
(i) Classes LKG to IX:
- Summer holidays begun from 01 May 2025 and continue until 08 June 2025.
- The school is tentatively scheduled to reopen on 09 June 2025.
- Students were assigned activity-based holiday homework to engage in learning during the break in a creative and enjoyable manner.
(ii) Class X:
- Summer holidays will be observed from 01 May 2025 to 04 June 2025.
- The tentative reopening date for Class X is 05 June 2025.
- Activity-based holiday assignments were provided to maintain academic continuity and reinforce key concepts.
- INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE – P6 BUILDING: Work is currently in progress to provide benches for LKG and UKG students in the newly constructed P6 Building. This development is part of the ongoing infrastructure enhancement plan to improve classroom environments and comfort for early learners. Updates on completion are closely monitored by Maintenance In-charge.
- CBSE SCIENCE CHALLENGE: On 08 May 2025, selected students from Visvodaya School were participated in Round II of the CBSE Science Challenge, conducted at school premises. This prestigious academic event is designed to promote scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and application-based learning among students. Participants were shortlisted based on their performance in Round I, and have been actively preparing to represent the school at the next level. The event will be conducted under the guidelines provided by CBSE, ensuring a fair and stimulating environment for all contestants.
- LOGLQIDS OLYMPIAD SUCCESS – 2024–25: Result declared on 13th May 2025.Total eight students from school have successfully cleared the Final Stage of the Olympiad 2024–25 (South Zone).
- NCC CAMP: An NCC Camp been conducted from 13 May 25 to 23 May 25 at Mrs. A. V. N. College. A total of 48 students participated in the camp, comprising 24 boys and 24 girls. The camp provided rigorous training and various activities aimed at instilling discipline, teamwork, and leadership among the cadets.

- SCHOOL MAINTENANCE WORKS: The school is currently undergoing maintenance work, which includes repairs, cleaning to classrooms, restrooms, electrical systems, and outdoor areas. These efforts aim to improve safety, functionality, and the overall learning environment for students and staff.
- 100 STUDENT DESKS RECEIVED FROM BSO: Visvodaya CBSE School received 100 student desks provided to by the Barrack and Store Office, Garrison Engineer (ND) on 29 May 2025. For enhance the seating capacity, comfort for our students and a better learning environment in the upcoming academic session. The desks have been received in good condition and are being arranged in the classrooms as per requirement.
- SESSION FOR KG TEACHERS: Rachana Sagar publications Asst.Territory manager Vishal Jain conducted workshop for KG & I, II classes teachers on 03 Jun 2025 from 0900AM to 1200AM. He has explained different strategies to include toys, puppets in teaching. It’s interactive session.

- EXTRA MARKS SESSION: Imran representative of Extra marks conducted session for teachers explained how to use Extra marks content in class room IFP Panels on 04 Jun 2025 from 1445 Hrs to 1600 Hrs.
- WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY: World Environment Day celebrated in M.H Colony on 05 Jun 2025 from 0915 Hrs to 0945 Hrs. Chief guest MSR Raju, AM(WEL). Chief guest, Correspondent sir, Principal and Vice principal planted plants in herbal garden. Students from class IX, Teachers and some of colony residents attended the programme.
- SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAME FOR TEACHERS: “Training for Teachers” training being attended by five teachers on 09, 10 Jun 2025 conducted by skill development person Mr. Imtiyaz Arshad, CEO of Skill Development Institute, Visakhapatnam at RTC Complex. Five teachers are 1. Demudu Naidu, 2. Kavita singh, 3. B Kavita, 4. Y Prasanthi and 5. N Malleswari. The teachers received mementos and certificates after the work shop.
- FIRE MOCK DRILL: Fire mock drill was conducted on 11 Jun 2025 with the practical involvement of all the students from classes III to X. Fire alarms given followed by students going to three floors shouting of fire occurrence. Then the students came out and stepped towards ground along with class teachers. Students were shown how a rising fire can be stopped by using fire extinguisher. Mr. Narsingh demonstrated the use of fire extinguisher. Then all the students were sent back to classes.
- POSTER MAKING AND ESSAY COMPETITION FOR INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY: As a part of International Yoga Day conducted Poster making competitions for students of classes VI and VII, Essay writing competitions for students of class VIII. Competitions conducted on 11 jun 2025. Banners received from dockyard for the event.

- INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2025: Visvodaya CBSE School celebrated International Yoga Day on 17 June 2025 with great enthusiasm and spirit. The event was held in the school premises from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Students from Classes VI to X actively participated in the programme under the guidance of PET Teacher Mr. Srinivas. The session began with a brief introduction about the significance of Yoga in daily life, followed by a series of Yoga Aasanas demonstrated and performed by the students, including breathing exercises and relaxation techniques. The event aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional balance among the students and staff. Along with students, teaching and office staff, as well as Naval Dockyard personnel, joined the celebration and practiced yoga, showcasing a collective commitment towards a healthy lifestyle.
- SESSION ON MEDITATION: A special meditation session was organized at Visvodaya CBSE School on 17 June 2025 for the students of Classes IX and X. The programme was held at the Kalamedha Auditorium from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and was conducted by Mr. Chandra Sekhar, a representative from Ekam, a well-known organization promoting mindfulness and inner wellness. The session focused on helping students develop mental clarity, emotional balance, and stress-relief techniques through guided meditation practices. Mr. Chandra Sekhar led the students through various meditative exercises aimed at improving concentration and inner peace. Along with the students, school staff and MEDCORA personnel also participated in the session, making it a truly enriching and collective experience.
- YOGA SESSION AS PER DEO OFFICE: In connection with International Yoga Day 2025 and as per the guidelines issued by the District Education Office, Visakhapatnam, a comprehensive Yoga Session was conducted at Visvodaya CBSE School on 20 June 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Students from Classes I to X actively participated in the session with great enthusiasm. The programme aimed at promoting awareness of the importance of yoga in maintaining physical and mental well-being among young learners. Under the supervision of trained instructors and physical education staff, students performed various yoga aasanas and breathing exercises that contribute to improving flexibility, concentration, and emotional balance.
- MLA CUP OPENS TOURNAMENT OF TABLE TENNIS: K. Varuj Tej of Class VI-B participated in the MLA Open Table Tennis Tournament held on 22 June 2025 at ZP Indoor Stadium, Gopalapatnam, Visakhapatnam. Showcasing remarkable skill and determination, he performed exceptionally well and secured a prize in the tournament. His achievement has brought pride to the school and serves as an inspiration to his fellow students.
- PTA MEET FOR CLASS-X STUDENTS: A Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting for the parents of Class X students was conducted on 23 June 2025 at the school premises. During the meeting, parents were informed about the various subject enrichment measures undertaken by the school to enhance students’ academic performance, including remedial classes, practice tests, and activity-based learning. Teachers emphasized the crucial role of parental support and consistent monitoring at home, especially during this important academic year.
- BOOK CAMPAIGN: A Book Campaign was conducted at the school on 24 June 2025 for students of Classes III to X. The campaign aimed to promote reading habits, encourage book exchange, and create awareness about the value of books in academic and personal growth. Various activities such as book displays, reading sessions, book reviews, and a book donation drive were organized as part of the event. Students actively participated with enthusiasm and shared their favorite books with peers. The campaign successfully fostered a reading culture and motivated students to explore the world of books beyond textbooks.
- ANTI-DRUG PLEDGE: On 26 June 2025, students of the school took a pledge during the morning assembly under the theme "Say No to Drugs", as part of an awareness initiative launched by the State Government. The pledge aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage them to lead a healthy, responsible, and drug-free life. The initiative reinforced the importance of making informed choices and standing against peer pressure. All students participated sincerely, showing their commitment to this noble cause.

SURPRISE VISIT BY CDR PH NAWADKAR, MWEL
On 05 July 2025, Commander PH Nawadkar, MWEL conducted a surprise visit to the school and residential colony premises, focusing particularly on the cleanliness and general maintenance of the facilities. The inspection covered classrooms, office rooms, and washrooms in the P6 and P55 buildings. During the visit, the officer closely observed the hygiene standards, upkeep of infrastructure, and maintenance practices in place. His observations and feedback emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness to ensure a healthy and conducive environment for both students and residents. The visit served as a valuable reminder to reinforce ongoing sanitation efforts and timely upkeep across all areas.

On 09 July 2025, K. Srinivas, Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard (Visakhapatnam), visited the school and colony premises to review the cleanliness and maintenance of classrooms and office rooms. During the inspection, he assessed the general upkeep and hygiene standards being followed. He appreciated the ongoing efforts and also suggested areas for further improvement to maintain a clean and orderly environment. Additionally, ASD sir advised the school management to initiate planning for conducting the Annual Day function during the current academic year. His guidance and encouragement have provided valuable direction for upcoming school activities.

RED DAY CELEBRATION
Red Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Visvodaya KG School on 11 July 2025 for students of Play Group to UKG. The event aimed to introduce children to the concept of colors through fun and engaging activities. All students and teachers came dressed in vibrant red attire, and the classrooms were decorated with red-themed objects like balloons, toys, and fruits. Student elections voting was conducted at Visvodaya CBSE School on 14 July 2025 in a democratic and disciplined manner. NCC SELECTION PROCESS
The NCC (National Cadet Corps) selection process was successfully conducted on 21 July 2025 at Visvodaya CBSE School by the staff from 3A NCC Naval Unit. Students from Classes VIII and IX actively participated in the selection rounds which included physical fitness assessments and basic screening. The process aimed at identifying disciplined, enthusiastic, and physically fit students to be inducted into the NCC Naval wing. The Investiture Ceremony of Visvodaya CBSE School was conducted on 22 July 2025 with great enthusiasm and dignity. The chief guest for the occasion was Shri G. On behalf of TATA Class Edge, Mr. Ravi Kumar along with his teammate conducted an on-the-spot essay writing competition for students of Classes VI to X at Visvodaya CBSE School on 22 July 2025. The session began with an engaging video presentation to inspire and guide the students, followed by the announcement of the essay topic – "5 Things I Will Do to Build a Self-Reliant India." Students enthusiastically participated and showcased their ideas and vision for a stronger, self-reliant nation. The best entries were selected based on creativity, clarity, and expression. On 24 July 2025 winners were awarded medals and certificates during the school assembly by Mr. Ravi Kumar, appreciating their efforts and encouraging all students to think proactively for the nation's development.

Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed at Visvodaya KG School on 27 July 2025 with great patriotic spirit. The young students came dressed in army uniforms, paying tribute to the brave soldiers of India. International Tiger Day was celebrated at Visvodaya KG School on 29 July 2025 to raise awareness about tiger conservation. The classrooms were decorated with tiger-themed artwork and posters. Visvodaya KG School celebrated Krishnashtami with great devotion and joy on 12 August 2025. The little ones came dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha, adding vibrant colours to the occasion. The celebrations included devotional songs, dance performances, and a lively “Uriyadi” (Dahi Handi) activity, filling the campus with festive spirit. On 13 August 2025, Dr. Vasudeva Rao, Principal Scientific Officer and Technical & Quality Manager, Central Dockyard Laboratory, conducted an engaging session for Class X students at Visvodaya CBSE School. The session focused on key concepts of Physics and their practical applications in real-life scenarios and naval technology. Dr. Rao’s interactive teaching style, coupled with demonstrations and examples from his professional experience, inspired students to develop a deeper interest in the subject. The program concluded with a Q&A session, where students enthusiastically clarified their doubts and gained valuable career insights.

PARENT MEETING FOR CLASS X
On 13 August 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, the Correspondent of Visvodaya CBSE School conducted a meeting with the parents of Class X students. The session aimed to bridge the gap between parents’ expectations and students’ actual potential. INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
Visvodaya CBSE School celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm on 15 August 2025 at the Kalamedha Auditorium. The Chief Guest, Cmde. Azmatulla Khan, GM (HR) and Vice Chairman of Visvodaya Educational Society, along with other esteemed naval dignitaries, graced the occasion. The programme featured vibrant dance performances depicting the spirit of freedom and unity. Prizes were awarded to winners of various competitions and to the toppers of last year’s Class X Board Examinations, recognising their achievements. The event fostered a sense of pride, unity, and respect for the nation among students and attendees.

POST CARD & LETTER WRITING COMPETITION WINNER
We are proud to share that our student G. Bhavna Shri Ananya of Class VI-B, daughter of G. Srinivas Kumar, brought laurels to our school by winning a Consolation Prize in the Post Card & Letter Writing Competitions held under the Junior Category (Classes VI & VII). The competition was organized by the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Visakhapatnam Division, as part of the celebrations on the event of Independence Day 2025. The event was aimed at nurturing creativity, encouraging communication skills, and inspiring young students to express their patriotic thoughts through words. Hundreds of students from various schools participated in this prestigious competition, making the achievement even more commendable. Bhavna Shri Ananya’s heartfelt expression and originality in writing
stood out and earned her recognition. She was felicitated with a prize and certificate at the Collector Office, Visakhapatnam on 15 Aug 2025, in the presence of District Collector, Commissioner of Police for Visakhapatnam and other distinguished officials.

COUNSELLOR SESSION
On 22nd August 2025, the school counsellor, Mrs. Sunita Pal, conducted an awareness session on the topic “Gender Sensitivity” for the students of Classes VIII to X at the Kalamedha Auditorium. The programme was held from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM, focusing on creating awareness among students about the importance of respecting gender equality, breaking stereotypes, and fostering an inclusive environment. The interactive session helped students understand values of empathy, respect, and sensitivity in their daily lives.

MESSAGE ABOUT SEASONAL DISEASES
On 23rd Aug 2025, school assembly, the Principal addressed the students and shared an important message on precautionary measures against seasonal diseases, as per the circular received from the DEO office. The Principal advised students to maintain good hygiene, drink safe water, eat healthy food, and stay alert to symptoms of common seasonal illnesses. Emphasis was laid on personal cleanliness, proper handwashing, and preventive health habits to ensure the well-being of all students.

COMPETITIONS ON WORLD OZONE DAY
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change is conducting a National Level Competition for school students in the categories of Poster Making and Slogan Writing. The competition is open for students of Classes VIII to X, with the theme “Protection of Ozone Layer and Preventing Climate Change.” This initiative aims to create awareness among students about environmental conservation and to encourage them to showcase their creativity and ideas towards protecting the planet.

On 18th September 2025, a PLL Book Inspection was carried out at the Visvodaya CBSE School Library by Naval Dockyard employees Mr. B. Chandra Sekhar, FM(Gz) and Mr. V.V.S. Naga Raju, FM(Gz). The inspection was completed smoothly, ensuring proper maintenance and record verification of library books.

SHIP VISIT
On 19th September 2025, a group of 40 students from Class IX, accompanied by 4 teachers and one Dockyard employee, visited the Naval Dockyard between 3.30 PM to 4.30 PM. During the visit, the students had the unique opportunity to witness and explore INS MUMBAI and INS MYSORE, two frontline warships of the Indian Navy. The guided visit provided valuable insights into the functioning, structure, and operational capabilities of the naval ships. The students were fascinated to learn about the role of the Navy in safeguarding the nation’s maritime frontiers and the life of naval officers onboard. The visit was highly enriching, sparking curiosity and instilling a sense of pride and respect towards the Indian Armed Forces among the students.

On 23rd September 2025, Dussehra celebrations were joyfully conducted in the KG School. From 13 October to 16 October 2025, Visvodaya CBSE School organized a Teachers’ Workshop conducted by Mr. A. Siva Prasad, a renowned Corporate Trainer and Educator, who is also the CEO of CTC – Changing lives by changing attitude. The workshop was based on the topic “Communication in Action.” Mr. Siva Prasad, with his 22 years of rich experience in professional training, engaged teachers through interactive sessions focused on effective communication skills, positive attitude, and classroom interaction strategies. The workshop provided valuable insights to enhance teaching methodologies and foster better teacher–student communication.

ATAL LAB - TEACHERS’ TRAINING
From 13 October to 16 October 2025, conducted a teachers’ training session on Introduction for Sensors by Mr.Atchyuth Kalla from STEMROBO Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Explained the working and applications of various sensors including LDR, IR, PIR, DHT11, Alcohol, Mic, Sound, Touch, Temperature, and Ultrasonic sensors. All participants made the sensor connections using Arduino UNO and successfully executed the respective programs. Overall, teachers actively participated and gained comprehensive hands-on knowledge of Arduino programming, sensor interfacing, soldering techniques, and 3D printing fundamentals.

A special session by Mr. Aman Kumar Danda, a scholar from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands, and alumnus of IIT Tirupati, was conducted on 17th October at the Kala Megha Auditorium for students of Classes 8, 9, and 10. He inspired students with his insights on time management, academic excellence, and stress handling, and shared practical tips on tackling Physics and Mathematics with curiosity and consistency. His motivational examples highlighted the importance of discipline, focus, and wise use of resources, encouraging students to work confidently toward success.

CYBER SECURITY AWARENESS SESSION BY LIEUTENANT ANJALI NAIR
A Cyber security Awareness Workshop was conducted by Lieutenant Anjali Nair, IT Officer, on 17th October (Friday) at the Kala Megha Auditorium for students of Classes 6 to 10. Lieutenant Anjali Nair, commissioned on 10th March 2024 and a former Software Developer at Capgemini with 1.5 years of experience shared valuable insights on staying safe online. She highlighted the importance of protecting personal information and being alert against threats like cyberbullying, hacking, and identity theft. The session also included an engaging quiz that made students actively participate and learn practical ways to ensure cyber safety. Overall, it was an interactive, informative, and eye-opening session that encouraged students to become responsible digital citizens.

On 18 October 2025, Diwali celebrations were joyfully conducted at Visvodaya KG School. The tiny tots participated with great enthusiasm, dressed in colorful traditional attire. The celebration included cultural performances, songs, and dances highlighting the significance of the festival of lights. Children also enjoyed decorating diyas and sharing sweets, spreading the message of joy, love, and togetherness. MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT - SLOGAN WRITING COMPETITION
On 21 October 2025, The Ozone Cell, Ministry of Environment organized an Online National Level Slogan Writing Competition for school students on the occasion of the 31st World Ozone Day 2025. The competition aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the ozone layer and promoting environmental conservation. From Visvodaya CBSE School, 13 students participated and received Certificates of Participation. Notably, K.
